Labor Day weekend is always a fun time in our town and this one was special for us, as it was our first chance to introduce our friends and neighbors to the Humanists of Winchester!
Partnering with WinCity Media, we combined people and resources to provide information about both organizations. Member of our group who helped included Pete, Susan, Robert, Robin, Nick, Tiff, and Jennifer.
We also combined another civic duty with our project, handing our voter registration cards to folks who were not registered. We also handed out free ice-cold water bottles — until we were reprimanded by a festival official. We weren’t aware that giving away free drinks or food was not allowed. Oops!
We had so many great conversations and met some fellow Humanists and folks interested in Humanism — and signed up nearly 20 people to our mailing list.
Overall, it was a fun and productive two days, and we are looking forward to doing it again next year!
